Postdoc in the mechanisms of expression of Complement regulators and the effects of chemotherapeutic drugs

A Tenovus Cancer Charity funded position is available to investigate the mechanisms of expression of Complement regulators and the effects of chemotherapeutic drugs to enhance efficacy of immunotherapy of leukaemias. The aim of the project is to investigate the factors interacting with the promoter region and the 3’ untranslated region of C-Regulators and to study the effects of known chemotherapeutic agents or other drugs that are known to interact with the factors involved in the regulation of expression on C-Regulator expression and function.

Applicants should possess a degree in a relevant discipline and preferably a PhD or have nearly completed a PhD in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Cell Biology or Biochemistry or a related field, preferentially with experience in molecular biology, immunology and cell culture.
